Why is Digg’s Kevin Rose using Tinyurl instead of Diggbar to link to Digg stories?
I just caught this tweet from Digg founder Kevin Rose:

Not only is Kevin using a Tinyurl link, but he’s using it to link to a Digg submission.

I’m going to guess it’s approximately the same reason why he used Twitter more than he used Pownce.
You do realize that Twitter has been known to automatically convert links to TinyURL links, right?
Usually it’s only longer URLs that it converts and I’ve never seen it convert a digg url before.
I guess it depends on how long the digg url was …
Twitter did it.
I tried putting the naked URL:
http://digg.com/comedy/We_Didn_t_Start_the_Flame_War_Music_Video
a tweet, and it was shortened by twitter to exactly the tinyurl in that picture (http://tinyurl.com/cyubuy)
Please, let’s not guess when it’s so easy to test.
