Rejecting an op-ed piece from Condi Rice
Suppose you’re a newspaper editor. The Secretary of State, arguably one of the most powerful people in the US government, offers you an op-ed piece for your paper. You decide to reject it.
This isn’t just a specific case, apparently newspapers all over have been rejecting op-ed articles from Condi Rice left and right.
Not that I’m faulting them for this, I don’t think that newspapers should serve as the propaganda arm of the administration, it’s just a cool thing to consider.
