I’m a celebrity!
Well, not quite, but this does mark the first occasion that Bloggasm has been mentioned in a traditional news source. Yesterday, a reporter called me because she had read my post about Facebook’s recent privacy controversy and wanted to interview me for an article she was writing for her newspaper. You can now find the article online:
Simon Owens, the creator and moderator of Bloggasm.com, said many members come to Facebook rather than the more widely used MySpace because it offers more privacy.
Owens, 22, a recent graduate of Shippensburg University, said he likens the News Feed to broadcasting a person’s home phone number and address on television - personal information that’s certainly in the public domain, but nothing you would want told to everyone.
Besides, Owens said, “Do I really need [an alert] to know my friend Nick listed `Pirates of the Caribbean’ as one of his favorite movies? It really is just way too much information.”
Pretty spiffy, eh?

You’re only twenty-two? !!!!!!!
Yep!
holy shit you’re from shippensburg?!
