Thanks for this. I didn’t see this panel, but from your description they certainly missed a great opportunity to hash out the issue & how snark is used in debating very serious issues.

Simon,

I’m not really clear who you’re harshing on and why you are upset. Did you hope for a more thorough discussion of Jezebel’s critique, or more history on the realities behind gender imbalance on-camera at TDS?

There isn’t anyone alive in comedy who is more feminist than Winstead, more willing to put herself and her work on the line to challenge sexism, racism, and hypocrisy.

The explanation that you recount her as giving seems both detailed and straightforward, so what’s the beef?
