Conservative version of The Daily Show — The 1/2 Hour News Hour — needs a laugh track
Like Carlos Mencia and Mad TV, the new FOX News “satirical” comedy show can’t get enough real laughs to do without a laugh track. You would think that they would have actually laid down the money to at least get a decent one, though.

I understand that this episode is a pilot and the plan for the program is to have the material performed before a live audience if the series is picked up by the network.

I admit, I’m a big ol’ liberal, but I can laugh at jokes that, say, Jon Stewart makes about the Clintons or John Kerry…because they’re funny. If this is the pilot, you’d think they’d go with their best material first, no? It’s just not funny. At all. It’s like an SNL skit that bombs. Or like listening to Jesse Jackson talk. Zzzzzz.
