I've been reading blogs for far longer than I've been writing mine. Having sampled so many, and seeing their use of quotes and photos, I've rarely given a second thought to posting excerpts and pictures--always with attribution, and links. Then I thought, "You know, Simon's a journalist. He's probably already weighed in on such a big story." Kudos for not letting me down. ;) When will people learn that it's not a good idea to tell bloggers that they can't blog about something. Information must flow freely; users nowadays won't tolerate anything less. Just like the the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AACS_encryption_key_controversy" rel="nofollow">AACS encryption key controversy</a>, no good can come of telling people not to publish something.
